Fees – Other
Chapter 11 and 12.
Because these cases are more complex and unusual, they require significantly higher retainer amounts. Chapter 12 cases retainers usually run in excess of $10,000. Any Chapter 11 client must anticipate that the attorney’s fees in a Chapter 11 case typically run in the 5 to 6 figure range and retainers will likely be in excess of $25,000. In addition Chapter 11 cases require significant and regular accounting and reporting and unless the Chapter 11 debtor-in-possession has in house accountants, there will be significant accounting fees as well as attorney’s fees.
